200 young leaders in action — shaping Hong Kong’s future from the community up
Throughout over 40 hours of training and experiential learning, you will take part in leadership camps, core leadership training, future skills workshops, and explorations of city development. From local community engagement to understanding national development contexts, you will broaden your perspective and develop analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills. Together with students from around 100 secondary schools, you will co-create a Project for Hong Kong community initiative themed around the “Northern Metropolis”, turning ideas into impactful, actionable solutions.
“Hong Kong 200” is more than just a summer program — it is the starting point for engaging with your community, establishing networks, and building valuable connections. You will join a community of over 4,000 passionate alumni and leaders from diverse sectors, becoming part of a network that continues to support, inspire, and collaborate with you through your academic pursuits, career journey, and civic participation.

Application Criteria
✔ Full-time secondary school students in Form 4 to Form 6 (Year 10–13) during the 2025/26 academic year
✔ Current or former student leaders, including head prefects, prefects, student council or club/association presidents and committee members
✔ Demonstrate a commitment to serving the community or relevant experience
✔ Outstanding performance in conduct, academics, and extracurricular activities

1. School Nomination
Recommended by the principal of the applicant’s school.
There is no limit to the number of nominations per school; however, a maximum of five students will be admitted from each school.
2. Self Nomination
Students who have received territory-wide, regional, or international awards since September 2023, or have shown outstanding performance in volunteer service, may apply through the self-nomination scheme. Those who perform exceptionally well during the interview will have the opportunity to receive a full tuition scholarship (limited places available).
Alumni Sharing
There are so many learning opportunities here — from gaining hands-on experience in organising territory-wide events to interacting with “Hong Kong 200” alumni who are now serving as government AOs, management consultants in the business sector, or professionals in international social service organisations, as well as other distinguished leaders. These experiences have deepened my understanding of possible pathways for my future development.
The participants of “Hong Kong 200” are all passionate about learning — they actively seize opportunities to try new things and gain experiences, without being discouraged by small setbacks. It’s the people of “Hong Kong 200” who make me want to stay, keep learning together, and continue witnessing each other’s growth.

Participation Fee: HKD $1,500 (to be paid upon confirmation of admission)
*If referred internally by units of HKFYG and applying through the self-recommendation channel, the tuition fee will be fully waived upon a successful interview.
